One must bring about change and be able to handle it. Man is basically good but can act badly. True greatness merely refuses to change in the face of bad actions against one. Why should one change and begin to hate just because others have lost themselves and their own destinies are too cruel for them to face. One must act, one must preserve order and decency, but one need not hate or seek vengeance.

Any fixed idea, is stuck on the time track. Any fixed idea is stuck on the time track. So the number of ideas a person has over which he cannot exercise judgment determines how far out of PT he is. He's that far out of present time to the degree that he has fixed ideas which cannot be altered by his own judgment.

A spirit seeks to advance, to improve. Each way is blocked. This universe knows only how to decay. Can we escape? Yes, it is possible. We have it in Scientology now. I have found it and charted it. I know exactly how to open the gate. What is the way out? With no excuses, no byroads. Straight out. All the way.

When we consider that a great deal of what we now know with great exactness was already known and lost thousands of years age, we begin to see that we are not dealing with something new when we are dealing with Scientology. It is not something new.

We are reasonable about so many things. The sheer amount of it is frightening. Humanity is trapped in Reasonableness worse than someone who has sunk into mud and digs himself in deeper with every movement – unable to get out without external help.

Many of our members used drugs before they knew about Scientology. Once they found Scientology and took just a few basic steps, they shot up the tone scale and dropped drugs from one day to the next.

The viewpoint of a professional is that the end result of your observation is simplicity, not complexity. The end result is simplicity. A thing is what it is. What's complicated is the world's unwillingness to face anything.

The merchants of fear have lost all ability themselves to create, they cannot work themselves, they must either amass money which is never to be spent or must prevent others from amassing money. They produce nothing, they must steal one way or another, and then devaluate whatever they obtain. They speak very sternly of honesty or ethics and put on a formidable front of complete legality.

Now, there can be chronic tone as a body plus thetan, or there can be chronic tone as a thetan. And chronic tone of body plus thetan can be apparently at enthusiasm, whereas…

That which a person can confront, he can handle. The first step of handling anything is gaining an ability to face it.
